Beta released November 4, 2024.
The following is a list of new and updated features in Design Master Electrical RT 2.2.3.
The Generate Riser command allows you to insert part or all of your single-line diagram into a Revit drafting view in a riser configuration. Simply run the command, select a starting point, and the software will do the rest.
New settings in the the Family Edit and Project Options commands allow you to customize which graphics are used for each device and feeder when it is generated, and can be used to specify different graphics depending on whether you use Generate Riser or Generate One-Line.
Several commands have been added to or modified on the EBIM Single-Line ribbon, allowing you to make changes to device locations and feeders more easily.
Several graphic families, annotation families, and projects have been updated, either to make them compatible with the Generate Riser command or to fix issues.
When you install the update, a set of our default customization will also be installed in the same location. The default location is C:\Program Files\Design Master Software\Electrical RT\Customization. As long as your customization folder is not set to this location, the graphic families in your customization folder will not be overwritten.
If you want to update your existing families, you will need to add the updated families to your customization folder manually. You can find your customization folder location by running the User Options command. Copy the files from your install location and paste them into your customization folder.
The following files have been updated:
Length inputs in the Arc-Flash Calculations section of the Panel Edit command are now based upon the settings in the Revit Project Units command.
If the Revit length unit is Imperial, the equipment dimensions and working distance will continue to use feet and inches. If the Revit length unit is metric, the equipment dimensions and working distance will use millimeters.
The boundary distance will be displayed using the unit set in the Revit Project Units command for distance.
We began phasing out support for single-line diagrams in AutoCAD with the release of version 2.0. Now that users are able to generate both one-line and riser diagrams in Revit, these feature sets have reached parity and exporting the single-line to AutoCAD is no longer necessary.
The Export to AutoCAD command will not be available in Revit 2026 and newer. The command will continue to function in older versions of Revit.
