Electrical for Revit users now have the option to bypass our circuit descriptions and instead use those set by Revit and modified using standard Revit functionality.
By default, existing projects that already use Design Master will continue using our circuit descriptions. Newly created projects and projects that will later use Design Master will use Revit circuit descriptions. You can change these defaults by modifying your customization and project templates.

For our online training on July 8, Brian Muir will speak about his company's usage of our Electrical for Revit software, then field related questions.
Brian is the president of Muir Engineering Limited, an electrical consulting firm based in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, B.C. He recently presented two sessions for Autodesk-sponsored Virtual Community Meetups: methods for using Revit when the architect does not provide a Revit model; and best practices for emergency lighting systems and how to handle these in Revit.
Muir Engineering initially purchased Design Master Electrical for Revit to help generate one-line diagrams, but they discovered many other uses for the software and incorporated them into their workflow. They now have a customized library that works with Design Master to automate circuit naming and breaker sizing.
