This is the tenth year we have conducted our annual survey on the use of building information modeling (BIM) by engineers and designers in the MEP industry.
This year, we actually noticed a slight downward trend of BIM usage for many of the purposes we asked about, which contradicts the talk that BIM will only get more popular.
New data this year include a comparison between the use of BIM and other common design tools, and how often designers make changes based upon the "greenness" of their projects.

Jason Tapia, AIA, founded Building Center No. 3 as a process-driven, design-oriented, interdisciplinary architecture firm in 2010. His eight-person team has continually worked to make its design processes as comprehensive as possible, whether through in-house design and fabrication using CNC routers and 3D printers, or performing electrical engineering and photometric studies using Design Master Electrical.

A regular online training webinar is available every month for Design Master Electrical RT for Revit and Design Master Electrical for AutoCAD. The training will answer support questions we have received from other users.
We are shifting the week that training happens, starting in January. Electrical for Revit is moving from the 1st Thursday to the 2nd Thursday. Electrical for AutoCAD is moving from the 3rd Thursday to the 4th Thursday. The time will stay the same.
Electrical for Revit training is the 1st 2nd Thursday of the month at 1:30pm Eastern.
Electrical for AutoCAD training is the 3rd 4th Thursday of the month at 1:30pm Eastern.

We will continue to preview new features during the Electrical for Revit training. There are two goals for the previews:
The feature previews will be available only during the live training session. Because we are demonstrating features in development that might change, we will not post recordings of the previews.
The next feature preview will be January 9, 2020 at 1:30pm Eastern, followed by regular training.
