For three years now, we have conducted a survey of engineers and designers in the MEP industry to learn about their experiences using building information modeling (BIM). We are running the same survey again this year to see how the adoption of this technology has changed. We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to fill out our survey. The results, including a comparison with the surveys from the last three years, will be discussed in a newsletter later this year.
(Editor's Note: The survey has ended.)
You can read the results of last year’s survey here.
Do you use Revit MEP for electrical design? If you do, we need your help.
The add-in we first mentioned for Revit MEP in April is now ready for beta testing. It adds feeder sizing, fault calculations, voltage drop, and arc-flash calculations to Revit MEP.
We're now at the point with the software where we am looking for
people who use Revit MEP who can help us do some robustness testing.
The calculations are all correct, and it works well on the sample
projects we have tried. But we need some more "real world" projects to
make sure everything is working.
Are you currently using Revit MEP on projects and would you be willing
to run a couple tests for me? If you are, reply to this email and let
us know.

This year's user conference is just a little more than a month away. If you have been waiting until the conference gets a little closer to decide whether you want to come or not--it is time! The cost of registration and the hotel room both go up on August 12.
Join us in San Diego, CA from September 10 to 13. HVAC classes are on September 10 and 11, 2013. Electrical classes are on September 12 and 13, 2013. Attendees will earn nine hours of continuing education that can be used in all states, including Florida and New York. This is your chance to learn more about how to use our software, meet the Design Master staff, and network with other Design Master users from around the country.
Registration is $395 until August 12, then $495 after that.Visit the conference page to learn more or to register.
Our customer story for August is APF Engineering, a full-service electrical engineering consulting company based in Decatur, Alabama.
