Creating Diffusers

This tutorial teaches you how to create diffusers.

You will create a round diffuser, two square diffusers, and a return diffuser. Diffusers can be created in any drawing in your project.

Open drawing M-1.0.

Create Diffuser SD-1

1. Run the Diffuser Project Schedule command. The Diffuser Project Schedule dialog box will open.
   Ribbon: DM HVAC→Diffusers→  Diffuser Project Schedule
   Pulldown Menu: DM HVAC→Diffusers→Diffuser Project Schedule

2. Press the button. The New dialog box will open.

3. Set New Diffuser Callout to SD-1.

4. Press the button to create the diffuser type.

5. Press the button.

6. Set Diffuser Description ☰ to Round Ceiling.

7. Press the button to set the block.

8. In CFM Range, set Max to 400.

9. In Face Dimensions, set Face Width and Face Depth to 24.

10. Press the button to save your changes.

Create Diffuser CD-1

1. Press the button. The New dialog box will open.

2. Set New Diffuser Callout to CD-1.

3. Press the button to create the diffuser type.

4. In CFM Range, set Max to 200.

5. In Face Dimensions, set Face Width and Face Depth to 24.

6. Press the button to save your changes.

Create Diffuser CD-2

1. Press the button.

2. Set New Diffuser Callout to CD-2.

3. Press the button to create the diffuser type.

4. In CFM Range, set Min to 201 and Max to 400.

5. Press the button to save your changes.

Create Diffuser RG-1

1. Press the button and select diffuser CD-1.

   note

   You can also use the and buttons to find the diffuser.

2. Press the button.

3. Set New Diffuser Callout to RG-1.

4. Press the button to create the diffuser type.

5. In CFM Range, set Max to 800.

6. Set Airflow ▾ to Return.

7. Press the button to save your changes.

8. Press the button to close the dialog box.
