Customizing Selective Coordination Graphs in ElectroBIM

You can customize the appearance of your selective coordination graphs using the Selective Coordination Graph section of the Project Options command and standard Revit functionality. The specific customization options, and methods for customizing the text types, line styles, and filled region types referenced by those options are described below.

Text Types

The Title text type and Label text type options determine which text type will be used by the graph title and by everything else, respectively. If the listed text type has not been defined in the model, when you insert the first graph, the text type will be created with default properties.

You can define and modify text types using standard Revit functionality:

  1. Create a new text element using the Annotate→Text command, or select an existing text element such as those on an existing graph.

  2. In the Properties palette, press the button. The Type Properties dialog box will open.

  3. (Optional) To create a new text type, press the button to create a copy of the selected Type ▾, then press the button to give it a unique name.

  4. Select a text type using the Type ▾ field, then modify the type parameters as needed.

  5. When you are finished modifying your text types, press the button to save your changes and close the dialog box.

Any text elements using the modified types will be updated immediately.

note

The text element you selected will update to the last Type ▾ you selected in the dialog box. You can change it to another type by reselecting the text element and using the Properties palette.

Line Styles

The line style options, such as Border line style, determine which line styles will be used by each line element on the graph. If the listed line style has not been defined in the model, when you insert the first graph, the line style will be created with default properties.

You can define and modify line styles using the standard Revit Manage→Additional Settings→Line Styles command. Any line elements using the modified styles will be updated immediately upon pressing the button.

Filled Region Types

The Curve filled region type options determine the fill patterns used for each curve on the graph, up to the fourth. If the listed filled region type has not been defined in the model, when you insert the first graph, the filled region type will be created with default properties.

You can define and modify filled region types using the Project Browser:

  1. Browse to Families→Detail Items→Filled region ☰ to find the filled regions currently defined in the model.

  2. Double-click a filled region, or right-click a region and select Type Properties. The Type Properties dialog box will open.

  3. (Optional) To create a new filled region type, press the button to create a copy of the selected Type ▾, then press the button to give it a unique name.

  4. Select a filled region type using the Type ▾ field, then modify the type parameters as needed.

  5. When you are finished modifying your filled region types, press the button to save your changes and close the dialog box.

Any filled regions using the modified types will be updated immediately.
