Utilities
This section describes the utility commands that are available to assist in maintaining the integrity of your project database and drawings.
📄️ Coordinate Drawings and Database
The Coordinate Drawings and Database command is used to compare the project database with one or more drawings and confirm that the information matches.
📄️ Erase Coordination Lines
To erase coordination lines generated when using the Coordinate Drawings and Database command, go to
📄️ Check for Drawings to Update
The Check for Drawings to Update command is used to check for and update any drawings that need to have changes made to them. Certain changes made on one drawing in a project will require changes to be made to other drawings in the project. Typically, these changes happen automatically.
📄️ Calculate All Circuit Loads
The Calculate All Circuit Loads command is used to recalculate all of the loads on all of the circuits on all of the distribution equipment in the project. It guarantees that all of the loads shown in distribution equipment schedules are correct.
📄️ Delete Extra Devices from Database
To delete any devices that exist in the database that either do not have an associated drawing or are on a drawing that no longer exists, go to
📄️ Rename Database
The Rename Database command is used to change the name of the database file associated with the current drawing. It will change the suffix of the file when viewed in Windows Explorer. Nothing else in the project will be changed.
📄️ Repair Database
The Repair Database command is used to attempt to repair a project database that has become unusable due to crashes, multiple errors, or other irregularities.
📄️ Delete DM Backups Over 30 Days Old
To delete backup files that are over 30 days old, go to
📄️ Find Lost Toolbars
The Find Lost Toolbars command is used to move all of the toolbars to a visible location on the screen. If your CAD program moves the toolbars to a location that cannot be seen, the toolbars are made unusable. Moving all of the toolbars is the simplest solution to this problem.
📄️ Reload Ribbons
The Reload Ribbons command is used to reload the Design Master Electrical ribbon tabs. Use this command if the tabs have disappeared from your ribbon.
📄️ Update Breaker Database
The Update Breaker Database command is used to update the database of breaker and fuse curves used for selective coordination. This command guarantees you will have the most up-to-date list of breakers and fuses.
📄️ Delete Drawing
The Delete Drawing command is used to delete a drawing that contains Design Master Electrical devices and remove all of the associated information from the database.
📄️ Rename Drawing
To rename the current drawing, go to
📄️ Copy Drawing
To copy the current drawing, go to
📄️ Copy Drawing and Remove Links to Database
The Copy Drawing and Remove Links to Database command is used to make a copy of a drawing and remove all of the links between the Design Master Electrical entities on the drawing and the database. The appearance of the drawing will not change. All entities on the drawing will remain. However, they will be converted to standard CAD entities and their connection to the database will be removed.
