Creating Panels

This tutorial teaches you how to create a panel.

You will create a 480V panel and two 208V panels. Panels can be created in any drawing in your project.

Open drawing E-0.1.

Create Panel H1

1. Run the Panels command. The Panel dialog box will open.
   Ribbon: DM Electrical→Distribution Equipment→  Panels
   Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Distribution Equipment→Panels

2. Press the button. The New dialog box will open.

3. Set New Panel Callout to H1.

4. Press the button to create the panel. Once it is created, you can modify the settings for the panel.

5. Make the following changes to panel H1:

   1. Set Volts ▾ to 480Y/277V 3P 4W.
   2. Set Bus Amps ▾ to 225.
   3. Set Main Disconnect Type ▾ to Breaker.

6. Press the button to save your changes.

Create Panel L1

1. Press the button again.

2. Set New Panel Callout to L1.

3. Press the button to create the panel.

4. Make the following changes to panel L1:

   1. Set Bus Amps ▾ to 100.
   2. Set Main Disconnect Type ▾ to Breaker.

5. Press the button to save your changes.

Create Panel L2

1. Press the button.

2. Set New Panel Callout to L2.

3. Press the button to create the panel.

4. Press the button to close the dialog box.
