Creating Light Fixtures

This tutorial teaches you how to create a light fixture type in the light fixture schedule.

Open drawing E-1.1.

Create Light Fixture Type A1​

  1. Run the Light Fixture Project Schedule command. The Light Fixture Project Schedule dialog box will open.
    Ribbon: DM Electrical→Devices→  Light Fixture Project Schedule
    Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Light Fixtures→Light Fixture Project Schedule

  2. Press the button. The New dialog box will open.

  3. Set New Light Fixture Callout to A1.

  4. Press the button to create the light fixture type.

The light fixture type is now created in the database. Once it is created, you can modify the settings for the light fixture type.

  1. Press the button. The Select Light Fixture Block dialog box will open.

  2. Set Light Fixture Description ☰ to 1'x4' Recessed.

  3. Press the button to set the block.

  4. Set Input VA to 50.

  5. Press the button to save your changes.

Create Light Fixture Type A2​

  1. Press the button. The New dialog box will open.

  2. Set New Light Fixture Callout to A2.

  3. Press the button to create the light fixture type.

  4. Press the button. The Select Light Fixture Block dialog box will open.

  5. Set Light Fixture Description ☰ to 2'x4' Recessed.

  6. Press the button to set the block.

  7. Set Input VA to 100.

  8. Press the button to save your changes.
