Creating Equipment in the Database

This tutorial teaches you how to create equipment in the database that is not on the drawing.

Equipment can be created in the database in any drawing in your project.

Open drawing E-2.1,2.

Create Equipment in the Database​

  1. Run the Create Equipment command. The Create Equipment dialog box will open.
    Ribbon: DM Electrical→Devices→  Create Equipment
    Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical→Equipment→Create Equipment

  2. Set Equipment Callout to RTU-3.

  3. Set Volts ▾ to 480V 3P 4W.

  4. Set Load 1 Load Type ▾ to Heating.

  5. Set Load 1 Connected (kVA) to 31.5.

  6. Press the button.

The equipment will be created in the database.
