What to Do When Design Master Electrical Crashes

When our software crashes, here is what you can do to help us solve the problem:

  1. If you get a dialog box asking you if you want to submit a crash log to us, press the button. We read and respond to every crash report we receive. We are typically able to use the information to fix the problem and immediately send a patch back to you.

  2. If submitting the crash log does not work, use the Send Project to Design Master Support command to send us your project. The active drawing, the project database, and any IES files will be sent by default; you can attach additional files if needed. In the Additional Information text box, provide as much information as possible to help us recreate the crash.

  3. If Design Master crashes your program to the desktop, restart the program and see if the crash happens again. If it does, send us an email at support@designmaster.biz. The more information you can provide about the crash, the better our chances of fixing it.

  4. Sometimes, files are too large to be sent via email, or other email-related issues may arise. You can use the Send Files to Design Master Software page to send us your files. You can also provide your email address and any additional information about the crash, such as the text from the command line.
