Loads on Circuits Do Not Appear in Panel Total

I have connected devices to circuits on my panel. Why do the loads not appear in the totals at the bottom of the panel schedule?

Cause

Often, this happens because the circuits on the panel are set to be considered general lighting circuits, which are ignored in the panel load total. It is assumed the load on these circuits is included in the general lighting load for the panel.

To check, run the Panels or Edit Distribution Equipment command, select the panel, and press the Feeder and Service Calculation Settings button. Check whether the Default General Lighting Circuit Value ▾ field is set to Yes.

Solution

Change the Default General Lighting Circuit Value ▾ field is set to No.

For circuits that do have lights, use the Circuiting command to change the General Lighting Circuit ▾ field to Yes for those specific circuits.
