Pipe breaks are automatically inserted when pipes cross each other in Design Master Plumbing. Having the software insert the breaks, rather than manually inserting them during the drafting process, both saves times and guarantees a more consistent output.
If the pipes have elevations assigned to them, the pipe that is below the other will be broken. When the pipes are inserted at the same elevation, the software has to choose which pipe to break. If the pipes are different types, the one that is higher on the list of pipe types is treated as higher on the drawing. This way, two types of pipes inserted at the same elevation will consistently have one type on top and one type on the bottom. If the pipes are the same type, then the longer pipe has the break added to it.
